Our Ministries
1 Peter 4:10-11
10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
11 If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
Colossians 3:17
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Youth
Ministry
Bro. Stacey and Sis. Yolanda Baxter coordinate time with children and teens for the purposes of worship, education, volunteer work and community outreach. Additionally, they lead and serve within various church programs and activities.
Men's
Ministry
Bro. Brent Gill, leader of our Men's ministry, helps to ensure that our worship is carried out in a manner consistent with the biblical teaching of doing all things “decently and in order.” Help also helps to prepare and direct brothers to serve during the worship service for the sole purposes of edifying God and for the building up of the congregation. The brothers build relationships by having outings and social gatherings to better learn about each other.

Women's
Ministry
Our Women's Ministry is led by Sis. Sherell McLendon and Sis. Sheila Baxter. They provide an atmosphere where women can learn to live and grow spiritually in Christ. The meetings are designed to encourage daily bible reading, spiritual growth, and prayer; and a forum for questions and searching out biblical answers for a clearer understanding of the truth. They provide an atmosphere for dealing with real life applications of biblical principles to one’s daily life; and an atmosphere for reaching out and encouraging one another; to support and assist other ministries of the congregation involving visiting and ministering to the sick and shut-in.

Choir & Praise Team
Sis. Brenda Whitaker provides an outlet for group members to display vocal talents at church events; to minister to others and one’s soul through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Any faithful member of Parkside’s congregation can become a member of our choir. Members must be at the majority of the practice sessions to participate in a performance.

Dance & Mime
Ministering Mime is interpreting gospel music, using illustrations and non-verbal methods to allow the congregation to understand what you are doing, just like Ezekiel demonstrated in the Old Testament. The Mime & Praise Dance Ministry uses face paint and gloves to make their expressions more vivid and includes men, women and children of all ages. The purpose of praise dancing is to praise God through dance and encourage others to worship God freely, without restraints.
Ushers and Greeters
Bro. Brent Gill helps to ensure that ushers and greeters greet and welcome our members & visitors, as well as to embrace them with expressions of warmth and care. He also facilitates the completion of visitors’ cards; and to learn the names, and answer any concerns of visitors and new members. Bro. Brent responds to the emergent needs of the Leadership. Ushers are responsible for escorting people to their seat, distributing tissue, fans, offering /tithing envelopes as needed.
